Trigger presents CRUNCH by Gary McNair and HITCH by Kieran Hurley Spring tour 2012

CRUNCH

Gary’s got a good feeling about you. He believes that you’ve got it in you to be a winner. He believes that you’ve got what it takes to complete his five-step programme. He believes that you can be liberated from the tyranny of money forever.

Is it a lecture? Is it a test? Is he really serious?

Crunch is a solo performance by Gary McNair. It was developed with the National Theatre of Scotland and originally commissioned at Oran Mor for a Play, a Pie and a Pint.

**** A very smart hour worth something more than money: your time. Lyn Gardner – The Guardian

HITCH

On the 8th of July 2009, the leaders of the eight most powerful countries in the world met for three days in the earthquake-ravaged town of L’Aquila in Italy to make plans for the future of our society and our planet.

On 27th June, I hitched a lift from Glasgow, alone, to be there too.

Hitch is an intimate piece of contemporary storytelling about the real experience of this journey. It asks questions about the meaning and purpose of political protest, the limits of personal power and the possibility of change.

Humorous, honest, thought-provoking and ultimately hopeful, Hitch is a story of global leaders, compassionate strangers, a young man…and his thumb.

Hitch is a solo performance by Kieran Hurley, with music by Over The Wall.

It has been developed in association with The Arches, Forest Fringe, and PLaY.

The best performance I’ve ever seen. Chris Goode – The Observer
