7pm Sunday 29th June, ABC, Glasgow
I’m very proud and pleased that my show Donald Robertson Is Not A Stand Up Comedian will be presented at the Traverse this August for the Fringe, it’s a real honour.
However, the show is entirely self funded and as some of you will know, taking a show to the fringe can be very expensive. Our total costs come in at over £10,000 with just over £4,000 of that needing paid before we open on August 1st. In order to make the whole run at the Fringe more possible and less financially stressful, we have decided to hold a fund raiser event (or should I say Punraiser) as I know there are many people out there who would love to support the work, but that there are also loads of people out there who love a pun.
Which is why we dreamed up- The Champipunship: A Punraiser to be held at the O2 ABC on Sunday 29th of June.
This night of fundraising will consist of many competitors going head to head so that one can be crowned the Pundisputed Champipun of the Word.
There will be musical entertainment from the Punstrumentalists that are Sigor Bros, Mumford’n’Sons’n’Roses, Chas’n’David Bowie and Elaine Paige Against the Machine
There will also be a whole host of brilliant prizes to be won on the evening in our amazing raffle and our Punbola.
We’re trying to make as much money as we can on the night so would absolutely love your support on the night, and a busy crowd will make it a brilliant atmosphere.
If you can’t make it along but would still want to support the show? You my friend are a hero. Simply buy a ticket and not come but if you do this, your name will be put into a draw for the star prize in the raffle and it’s a really good prize.
You can buy tickets here.
Buying a ticket will really help us this summer
